Drawing on the great collectors Thiele, Hyltén-Cavallius and Stephens, and Asbjørnsen and Moe, this volume presents Scandinavian folk tales and legends: a wonderful plough, a lad who robs a giant, tales of cats, a magician’s daughter, proud princesses and many encounters with trolls and the hidden folk.
A compact gathering of northern tales, many of them ancestors of familiar English stories. Download the free EPUB.
