Bennett set his story in Kentucky’s infancy during the Revolution, mixing invented characters with real frontier events, raids and the renegade Simon Girty. Settlers hunt buffalo, defend their stations and fight Indian war parties while a pioneer girl’s fate hangs in the balance.
An old-fashioned frontier romance of the 1850s whose view of Native Americans is very much that of its time. Download the free EPUB.
