Widowed and bored in Dublin, the Irish politician Phineas Finn returns to London and wins a seat at Tankerville. He re-enters a world of party manoeuvre, Mr. Daubeny’s startling move on the Church, Lady Laura Kennedy’s unhappy marriage and the rivalry of Mr. Bonteen, until a crime on a London street puts his whole future in doubt.
The fourth Palliser novel, combining parliamentary intrigue with suspense, and a fine sequel to Phineas Finn. Download the free EPUB.
