Three young Englishmen took a canvas boat, a tent and some rifles into the Jotunheim in 1882 and spent a summer fishing, shooting reindeer and failing at domestic tasks. Two of them wrote it up, with drawings, and the deadpan has kept the book beloved by campers ever since.
