One afternoon in 1880, out walking in an Oxfordshire wood with her husband, Silvia Tebrick is transformed without warning into a small red fox. Richard Tebrick sends away the servants, dresses her, plays cards with her and tries to keep their marriage alive, while the wildness in her steadily grows. Garnett tells the impossible event in calm, exact prose.
A short, strange and touching fable of love and change, prized by readers of literary fantasy. Download the free EPUB.
