Nione of the Krall dynasty rules Ygoth from her throne, sitting like a man with knuckles under her chin, until the barbarian adventurer Duar is dragged before her. Sword-play, the secrets of the forbidding Black Tower and a dangerous attraction between captive and queen drive this short sword-and-sorcery tale.
