The narrator does not care for fishing, yet he fishes diligently, because Lisbeth’s formidable Aunt Warburton, she of the lorgnette and the sharp nose, has made it necessary. His courtship of Lisbeth runs through a string of comic episodes, most of them commandeered by her nephew the Imp, who plays outlaws and sheriffs with alarming conviction.
A light, sunny English comedy of courtship from the author of The Broad Highway. Download the free EPUB.
