On a planet scorched by day and frozen by night, radiation has squeezed a human lifetime into eight days. Sim is born in a cave, grows in hours, and learns that a wrecked ship stands half an hour away across the deadly rocks, beyond the limit of life itself. With the girl Lyte, he gambles everything on reaching it.
Early Bradbury from Planet Stories in 1946, later known as “Frost and Fire”, a striking fable about the shortness of life. Download the free EPUB.
