Paterson collected the anonymous songs sung in the shearing sheds, on the goldfields and round the campfires of the overlanders before railways and contract shearing changed the bush. Here are The Old Bullock Dray, The Old Bark Hut, Paddy Malone in Australia, the lament of a broken-down squatter and many more, with two Aboriginal songs.
A founding collection of Australian folk song, gathered by the author of Waltzing Matilda. Download the free EPUB.
