Cox introduces English readers to the tradition of German Protestant hymn-writing that flourished after the Reformation. Her small collection prints German hymns for Advent, Christmas and the other seasons of the church year beside her English verse translations, with hymns of childhood innocence, faith and devotion drawn from several centuries.
A gentle devotional book that helped bring German hymnody into English worship. Download the free EPUB.
