This Mermaid Series selection, with an introduction by John Addington Symonds, presents Thomas Heywood, actor and playwright of the Red Bull Theatre. Its centrepiece is A Woman Killed with Kindness, in which the gentleman Frankford discovers his wife’s betrayal by a trusted friend and answers it with a terrible mildness.
