Edward Churt, a successful portrait painter in Knightsbridge, knows perfectly well that his wife Carol is unfaithful and declines to behave like an outraged husband. His old friend Major Evelyn Bathurst, a man of strict honour, decides to prove Carol’s true character to him by spending a night in her company, with consequences none of the three expect.
A sharp, cynical three-act comedy of 1926 from Coward’s early run of scandalous successes. Download the free EPUB.
