A collection of one-act plays written for amateur performance at Christmas, built around the season’s two great themes of good will and the quiet joy that kind acts bring. It includes the morality play that gives the book its title, a tale of an immigrant girl’s Christmas in a ship’s steerage, a comic holiday with the Mulligans, and a fantasy called The Wishing Man.
Useful for anyone staging a simple holiday programme, and a glimpse of American community theatre around 1917. Download the free EPUB.
