Epilogue

“I make my courtesy, bid me farewell.”

Much Ado About Nothing

Act I Sc. 1

“Is it possible Disdain should die while she hath such meet food to feed it as Signior Benedick?”

For ‘it’ we should probably read her, or rather on.

“Scratching could not make it worse, or ’twere such a face as yours” [were].

The ‘were’ was probably suggested by the preceding ‘’twere.’

Sc. 2

“This be true. Go you and tell her of it.”

The metre requires ‘should be.’

Sc. 3

“There is no measure in the occasion that heeds it.”
