Long, then delivers “studies in unnatural history”: the impossibly wise animals of Little Upsidaisi, Jagg the Skootaway Goat, Snoof and Jenny Ragtail. Each sketch solemnly imitates the animal-hero stories then in fashion, and Peter Newell’s pictures keep the joke going.
