English history told in light rhyming verse and comic drawings: kings and queens, religious quarrels, Drake leaving his game of bowls on Plymouth Hoe and the Armada of 1588. Each scene is dispatched in a few jaunty couplets, and the original edition was bound with advertisements for tonics, preserved here.
A slight but cheerful romp in the tradition of 1066 and All That, for families who like their history in rhyme. Download the free EPUB.
