One of the official regimental histories compiled under the direction of the Adjutant-General, this volume follows the Fourteenth, or the King’s, Light Dragoons from their raising through campaign after campaign, with a fine account of their service in the Peninsula around Busaco and the lines of Torres Vedras. It opens with an essay on the institution of light cavalry.
