The History of Our Blessed Lord
In a Series of simple Poems; with 13 coloured Pictures from the Old Masters; in very large type.
Small 4to. 4s. 6d.
“A great experiment, and to the best of our judgment a successful one. The verses are easy, and, though rather in the ballad style, are free from any palpable irreverence. The plates are after the works of masters, and in the style, both of drawing and colouring, remind one of the severe and simple effect of old painted windows.”
