The Flight of the Heron

II Flood-Tide

“To wanton me, to wanton me,
Ken ye what maist would wanton me?
To see King James at Edinburgh Cross,
Wi’ fifty thousand foot and horse,
And the usurper forced to flee,
Oh this is what maist would wanton me.”

—Jacobite Song.
