In the last years of Jarl Hakon’s rule over Norway, a young warrior swears a vow and is swept into the struggle between the old gods and the new faith. Shooting-matches, a rescue in the bay, an escape from Thrandheim and the sea-fight at Hiorunga Bay lead toward the coming of King Olaf Tryggvason, with many characters drawn from the sagas.
A brisk saga-based adventure for young readers and anyone curious how Christianity came to the North. Download the free EPUB.
