Young Adam Salton arrives from Australia to stay with his grand-uncle in the Midlands and is soon drawn into a strange contest between Edgar Caswall of Castra Regis, the sinister Lady Arabella March of Diana’s Grove and a primeval white worm living beneath the land. Mesmerism, a giant kite and deadly struggles follow.
Stoker’s last and wildest novel, a cult horror classic; the African servant Oolanga is a crude racist caricature of its 1911 moment. Download the free EPUB.
