Fabien, a young provincial reading law in Paris and toiling over a thesis on the Junian Latins, splashes ink across the work of an eminent elderly scholar. His attempts at apology turn into a search, the search into an acquaintance, and the acquaintance into hope, as the story moves from Paris flower-shows and woodland outings to a steamer on Lake Geneva.
Gentle, witty French comedy of manners from the author of The Nun, for readers who like their romance light. Download the free EPUB.
