Before he founded Quebec, Samuel de Champlain wrote this account of a voyage to the Spanish Indies between 1599 and 1602. He describes the islands of the Caribbean, the ports and towns of New Spain, Mexico City, the plants and animals he saw and the treatment of the native peoples, in the Hakluyt Society translation with a memoir of his later life.
A rare early eyewitness account of the Spanish Americas by the future father of New France. Download the free EPUB.
