A heathen king of Spain raids Christendom and carries off a pilgrim lady, and in his court her daughter Blanchefleur and the king’s son Fleur are born on the same day. Raised together, the children love each other, and when Blanchefleur is sold away to Babylon, Fleur follows to a city of towers where she is kept in the topmost chamber of a guarded castle.
