John Touchwood, a playwright grown rich on his American successes, sails from New York to Liverpool hoping for peace to write his play about Joan of Arc. Instead he lands among relations who all expect something from him: money, jobs, introductions and patience, which he gives with a good grace that the family is happy to exploit.
A light, amused comedy of family and fame from the author of Whisky Galore. Download the free EPUB.
