On a June morning before the war, John Menzies Grant strolls into his garden in a quiet English village and glimpses a face at a window. Soon there is a death, an inquest and a constable eager to take a line, while gossip and cabals divide the villagers and Scotland Yard is called in to untangle what the local men cannot.
A village whodunit with a love story at its heart, for readers who like their mysteries set among English cottages and pubs. Download the free EPUB.
