February off the Banks, a blizzard on deck, and in the smoking room Austin Ford, a comfortable New Yorker with a taste for detection, is curious about the invisible widow whom the ship’s doctor keeps visiting. When she asks him to find her husband Harry, her delight seems oddly vindictive, and Ford’s amateur sleuthing begins.
