Aunt Judy is the eldest girl of a big family, and the younger children beg her for stories while their mother naps by the fire. Her tales, about the little victims of childish selfishness, vegetables out of place, cook stories, rabbits’ tails and children with nothing to do, each carry a gentle lesson.
