Little Hetty lives in Wavertree, a village of red-tiled cottages around the smith’s forge. After an accident under the horses’ feet she is adopted into a grander world, where she becomes a lonely child among condescending ‘cousins’, while her ties to the humble Kanes and to the animals she loves keep her heart true.
A tender Victorian story about kindness and class for young readers and those who loved such books as children. Download the free EPUB.
