Ester runs the long kitchen of her mother’s boarding-house, feeding fifteen punctual boarders while her sister Sadie and the younger children are at the academy. Proud, tired and impatient with religion, she goes away on a visit, meets her cousin Florence Vane, and comes home changed in ways her family can hardly believe.
A gentle nineteenth-century Christian novel for girls, the first book about Ester before Ester Ried Yet Speaking. Download the free EPUB.
