Fanny Brown has just gone into her first place in service and has spent her own ten shillings on a watch, to her mother’s dismay. Her holidays, friendships and choices among the other servants and the household’s young Master Eustace lead her toward real danger, while her family at home watches anxiously.
A Victorian cautionary tale that also gives a close look at the lives of young domestic servants in England. Download the free EPUB.
