With their old nurse gone for a week, seven brothers and sisters, led by the eldest, Pat, plan to have a good fling and keep order only at mealtimes. Their pranks and quarrels quickly get out of hand, scarlatina arrives, and the girl who tells the story surprises them all by announcing that she has become a Christian.
