Peter, the boy from Philadelphia, is carried back to Oz in a pirate’s sack and lands beside his old friend Jack Pumpkinhead. With Snif the Iffin riding in his pocket, the pair stumble into the Land of the Barons, the frights of Scare City and the scheming of the Bearded Baron of Baffleburg, with Neill’s pictures throughout.
One of the Oz books Thompson wrote after Baum’s death, published in 1929 and full of puns and good-natured peril. Download the free EPUB.
