The old tale of Dick Whittington, the hungry boy who sobs on a doorstep, finds work in a rich man’s kitchen and sends his only cat to sea, is retold so that no word has more than four letters or one syllable. Any child who can read a little can follow it alone, prayers, kindness and good fortune included.
A tiny Victorian experiment in easy reading that still works for beginners. Download the free EPUB.
