When Squire Tufton of Gablehurst dies, his only son Tom sets out into the world and lands in the gay London of Queen Anne, among fops, gamblers and the great Duke of Marlborough’s circle. Fashionable follies, a noble friend, a merchant’s daughter and highway robbers test whether the country lad can keep his head.
An engaging historical adventure of the early 1700s, for young readers of Henty and Weyman. Download the free EPUB.
