The second of the Young Trailers books follows Henry Ware and Paul Cotter as frontier settlements in Kentucky face war parties from the north. With woodsmen companions they hunt, canoe, hide out on an island and run messages through the forest, reading every spire of smoke on the horizon for danger.
Classic frontier adventure for boys and girls who like woodcraft and pursuit; its view of Native Americans is that of 1908. Download the free EPUB.
