On a stormy morning in Boston’s Causeway Street a pocketbook goes missing, and a ragged street boy called Tode is drawn into a chain of events that brings him face to face with a gentle bishop. Determined to follow the bishop’s example, he makes a new start as Theodore, while friends and enemies, poverty, bullies and illness test how far a boy can change.
A heartfelt story of a city boy’s reform that moved generations of Sunday-school readers. Download the free EPUB.
