Tiny Tim, Oliver Twist, Tommy Traddles, Kit Nubbles and young David Copperfield step out of their crowded novels here, each boy’s story lifted from Dickens’s own text and followed to the threshold of manhood. Sweetser trims away the surrounding cast and stitches the passages together, so a young reader meets Dotheboys Hall, the workhouse and the Micawbers through the boys who lived them.
A gentle doorway into Dickens for readers not yet ready for the full novels, in his own words. Download the free EPUB.
