Benny and his little sister Nelly flee a drunken, brutal home for the streets of Liverpool, sleeping rough and scraping together pennies however an honest child can. A kind girl named Eva and a few other friends in need offer glimpses of a gentler life, and Benny must find out whether a street boy can make his way in the world.
A Victorian bestseller drawn from Hocking’s pastoral work among Liverpool’s poor, moving and earnest in its faith. Download the free EPUB.
