Five linked adventures follow Burton, a young pilot of the Royal Flying Corps, through the First World War. He pursues a spy to Ostend, has a close shave with a Death’s Head Hussar in a French chateau, catches a German in Bulgaria, survives an accident in Macedonia and solves the mystery of a missing platoon in the trenches of Flanders.
Wartime boys’ adventure published in 1916, giving a vivid sense of how early air combat captured young imaginations. Download the free EPUB.
