A grizzled showman named Magsman, found among the marshes near Deptford, tells the story of the dwarf he once exhibited. Mr. Chops wins a lottery prize, abandons the caravan to go into society, and discovers that fashionable London has its own ways of fleecing a newcomer.
A wry, touching Christmas story by Dickens, originally his contribution to the collaborative A House to Let. Download the free EPUB.
