Charles Eastman, a Dakota physician and writer, sketches the lives of leaders of the Plains and the Northwest: Red Cloud, Spotted Tail, Gall, Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Rain-in-the-Face, Dull Knife, Chief Joseph and others. Writing as a Sioux, he sets their wars and treaties in the light of native character and ideals rather than frontier legend.
A rare Native American account of the leaders who resisted the settlement of the West. Download the free EPUB.
