John Weightman lives in a solid brownstone on an avenue no longer fashionable, giving to charity with careful calculation and planning his son’s career in politics. One evening, after reading the words about the many mansions of his Father’s house, he dreams that he walks the streets of the heavenly city looking for the dwelling built for him.
