The ragged old man hailing a ship’s boat from the bank of the Ugambi is Alexis Paulvitch, Tarzan’s enemy, who returns to London with a trained ape. Young Jack Clayton slips away with the animal to Africa, grows into a jungle fighter called Korak, and rescues Meriem, a girl held captive by a brutal sheik.
The fourth Tarzan novel, a fast pulp adventure whose picture of Africa and Arabs is that of 1915 magazine fiction. Download the free EPUB.
