A message from Grandaunt Nelson at Plumfield sets the narrator’s family a puzzle: to secure an inheritance, she must track down a particular Rose of Sharon. Moving into the old Nelson house with its attic of family treasures, the narrator begins searching gardens and varieties, finds an ally, and comes face to face with an enemy who wants the prize too.
A gentle, good-humoured mystery of old houses and old gardens by the anthologist of The Home Book of Verse. Download the free EPUB.
