Dick Prescott and his chum Greg Holmes arrive at West Point as two tiny specks of nothing, to be shouted at by a cadet corporal, hazed by yearlings and ground down by mathematics. Dick’s first fight, a classmate who holds post number three and a long contest of character fill a plebe year.
Part of Hancock’s long-running Dick Prescott series, rich in early twentieth-century cadet slang and routine. Download the free EPUB.
