Henry Lytton spent decades with the D’Oyly Carte company, playing the great comic baritone roles of Gilbert and Sullivan. His memoir runs from youthful romance and touring hardship to the leaders of the Savoy, travels in two hemispheres and the parts he made his own, with plenty of anecdotes about Gilbert, Sullivan and their players.
A warm, gossipy insider’s book for every Savoyard and lover of the operas. Download the free EPUB.
