The editors rescued The Good-Natured Bear, a story Thackeray called one of the wittiest and kindest books he had read, and built a collection around it. Alongside it come The Story of Fairyfoot, Finikin and His Golden Pippins, The Man of Snow and Andersen’s The Snow-Queen, with gardens where the currants are rubies.
A well-chosen bedtime anthology that brings back several nearly forgotten Victorian stories. Download the free EPUB.
