At old Gabe Bunch’s mill on the Cumberland, the miller had once believed the Stetson-Lewallen feud was over, settled by a bare-fisted fight on a ledge above his water-wheel. Now Steve Marcum lies in a corner of the mill, and the old man’s faith and mountain law pull in opposite directions.
A short, taut story of Cumberland feuding from the author of The Trail of the Lonesome Pine. Download the free EPUB.
