Alexander Forsyth Smith, known aboard as the Tyro, is making his first Atlantic crossing on the giant new liner Clan Macgregor and keeping a log of each day. He becomes fascinated by a beautiful, sharp-tongued young woman whom the passengers nickname Little Miss Grouch, and sets about breaking through her defences while shipboard gossip, misunderstandings and a mystery or two keep him at bay.
A light shipboard comedy from Samuel Hopkins Adams, the muckraking journalist turned popular novelist. Download the free EPUB.
